The Hook is situated to the east of Lady Bay bridge and the Nottingham Rugby sports ground. Access is either by the river side path or from various entrances off Holme Road. There is a car park just beyond the road entrance to Nottingham Rugby, where there is also a play park and recycling centre. Further parking can be found opposite Mona Road and on Holme Grove.
