What a Success!

More than 250 people turned up to The Hook Discovery Day on March 16th to find out about the nature reserve and how it has changed over time. There were displays about birds, butterflies and wildlife to be found there, with taxidermy specimens loaned by Nottingham City Museums.

The photographic displays showed how, through creating habitat such as the orchard, woodland, meadows and wildlife pond, nature has responded and wildlife has moved in.

Visitors of all ages enjoyed the arts activity, interpreting the wildlife by designing and printing a card. A huge thank you to all the volunteers who made the day such a success.
